Coneygree will miss this year’s Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup as he continues to recover from a setback.
Winner of the 2015 renewal as a novice but ruled out of last year’s running, the 10-year-old missed the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day and has been restricted to just one outing this campaign, when chasing home Cue Card in the Betfair Chase at Haydock in November.

Elsewhere, Ben Pauling is tempted to step A Hare Breath up in class for the Sky Bet Lightning Novices’ Chase at Doncaster.
The Grade Two prize on January 28 is one of two races being considered for the nine-year-old, who made a successful start to his chasing career at Bangor last month.
Meanwhile, The Reveley training dynasty, which has been synonymous with northern National Hunt racing for over 30 years, will no longer be a feature on British racecards from the end of this month.
Britain’s most successful female trainer, Mary Reveley, announced her retirement in 2004 after saddling over 2,000 winners in a 22-year career.
Her son Keith took over the reins at Saltburn, in Cleveland, but will hand in his licence at the end of January.
Reveley’s son, James, was recently crowned champion jockey in France after committing to riding full-time across the Channel little under a year ago, and the soon-to-retire trainer admitted that was a big factor in his decision to call it a day.
