Clive Cox will take things “a step at a time” with impressive first-time out winner Kick On Kick On.
The two-year-old made a winning debut at Leicester last Friday when he bolted up by four lengths in a five-furlong maiden.
Victory for the Paul and Clare Rooney-owned colt was also a first triumph for Group-race winning sire Swiss Spirit.
The Lambourn handler said: “That was really pleasing. It is always good to get a marker on the board early on as it gives us a buoyancy that the two-year-olds are coming along well.

“He could be an interesting horse, but I don’t just see him being an early two-year-old as he has got the potential to do better things.
“We will see how he comes out of the race and just take it a step at a time.
“It is difficult to know what you have beaten at this time of year, but we have been pleased with him at home.
“I would be more inclined to think about considering the option of stepping him up to six furlongs when those options are available.”
